New Mexico Telehealth Alliance Services

MEMBERSHIP

Membership will consist of organizations and individuals interested in the development and promotion of Telehealth. (See Appendix A for a sample list and further designation of the types of membership)

Registration should require the completion of a membership application form containing, 1) basic company or individual information, 2) name of the Chief Executive Officer, 3) appropriate contact person that will represent the membership at designated meetings, 4) any other information the Board deems appropriate. The Alliance would be responsible for proper registration of the membership and the creation of membership rosters. (See Appendix A for a sample membership form)

Organizations with fewer than 10 employees may join at the individual dues rate.

BENEFITS

Identified benefits of Alliance membership would include, but not be limited to:

· Provides access to secured resources
· Provides opportunities for and facilitates networking
· Develops policies and procedures such as licensure, legislation and   protocols
· Shares expertise such as best practice models, templates, and a repository for innovations
· Provides a unified voice with the Legislature
· Matches consumers and providers
· Provides economies of scale with regard to purchasing
· Provides protection of market share
· Improves the overall quality of health care in New Mexico
· Provides access to new education venues
· Provides benefits of expanded market opportunities
· Promotes rural economic development
· Enhances growth opportunities for small and large providers
· Expands services available for the consumer
· Expands the ability to leverage more effective use of specific health care skill sets
· Provides arbitration services
· Provides access to the “members only” section of the NM Telehealth Alliance web site
· Provides insights into state health care direction

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERSHIP

1) Agree to be active participants
2) Honor the rights of co-members
3) Act in a collaborative manner in the process
